The Mbalmayo District Hospital is a 4th category public institution, consisting of 16 buildings dating back to at least 1935 and which has benefited from Sinco-Cameroonian cooperation since 1974. This hospital became a district hospital in 1996.

The Mbalmayo District Hospital is located not far from the Place des Fêtes and opposite the central police station.
